About the Author
I was very intrigued when this book dropped through my letterbox last month. If you’re a regular reader of the blog you’ll know I don’t read an awful lot of thrillers, but this one caught my attention so I was pleased to accept the invitation to take part in the blog tour. Thanks to Maddie at Welbeck for sending me a copy. The Twins is available from 17th February from all good bookshops and will also be available as an ebook.
Margo is a solitary live-in nanny for an upper-class Kensingon family. Cora is a promiscuous dancer on the cusp of a big break, living hand-to-mouth in a run-down London flat.

But can there be a winner when a secret is so dark?

There were so many secrets and memories weaving in and out of each character’s story but could they be trusted? I began to feel that neither was a reliable narrator and that made for a very compelling read.
I found this book intriguing right from the first chapters where we meet both the twins who are very different people living very different lives. Margo is a nanny to rich family who also have twins and I couldn’t help but think this wasn’t a coincidence. She likes not being noticed, almost living her employers’ lives rather than her own – “My life has ghosts”. Cora, on the other hand, is a flamboyant and outgoing, a talented dancer living a wild life in London. There is mystery around the ugly scar she has on the back of her neck. With chapters told in alternately by each twin, we gradually begin to hear about their life when they were younger with hints of a tragedy in the family.
About the Book
The Twins is a book full of twists and turns, very cleverly written in a way that makes you question everything. It’s also a fascinating look looking at the effects of grief on a family and an interesting take on the twin sibling relationship.
Two sisters. An intense bond. A bitter rivalry.

I can’t say much or I’ll spoil things for you but there is a point in the book where everything turned on its head leaving my head in a spin. No way did I see what was coming! From that point on, I couldn’t read fast enough to find out what was going to happen.
